Equations for flow Cups

VISCOSITY STANDARDS are useful for checking the entire procedure used in viscometric measurements
including timing, temperature control, cleaning, as well as the characteristics of the individual cups. Kinematic
viscosities for all standards are based on the National Bureau Standards value of 1.002 centipoise for water at 20°C.
All standards are traceable to the National Bureau of Standards/NIST. The drain time for the viscometers are calculated
as shown. Approximate values are shown in Table III, below; exact values are supplied with each standard calculated from the
equations in Table IV, below.
